What we are funding

Using our remaining funds

The IDA went dormant with money in the bank. A group of long-standing IDA committee members, including founder members and the most recent chairs, put out a call for projects to fund. We wanted to use the money for projects

  • which have a clear public benefit,

  • which advance the field of information design, and/or

  • which benefit the community of information design practitioners, educators and researchers.

The panel was: John Alexander, Andrew Boag, Ruth Miller, Clive Richards, Bethany Shepherd, Conrad Taylor, Jane Teather, Sue Walker, Rob Waller

Some conditions of the funding were that the outcomes should be made available in two ways:

  • through participation in a final conference, possibly online.

  • any results or reports should be made available under Creative Commons License BY-NC-SA 4.0, and should acknowledge the financial support of the Information Design Association.
